WAM Song of the Year & Music Oz Awards
Dave has just won Song of the Year in the 2006 WAM songwriting awards in the electronic/dance category. Three out of the five tunes nominated for Song of the Year were written by Dave, with the award going to the song 'These Times' written by Dave McKinney and Rachel Claudio and featuring Rachel's killer vocals. Listen to 'These Times' here. Dave is also a finalist in the Music Oz 2006 Australian music awards, with a couple of songs in the finals of both the urban and dance/electronic categories.

Mushroom Publishing Deal
Dave is happy to announce that he has just signed a publishing deal with the good people at Mushroom Music. Lots more music coming soon!

Forthcoming
Dave has a pile of new remixes on the way, including remixes for Flevans (Tru Thoughts / Jack to Phono) and Beatfanatic (Raw Fusion / Soundscape). The debut Flow Dynamics album is finished and in production now. Release date early 2007. The Soul Harmonics album is also finished and out soon.

Marine Biology Research
Dave has also just completed a 3 week field trip doing a marine biological survey of the Rowley Shoals, Scott Reef, and Seringapatam Reef, 300kms off the northwestern coast of Australia. Dave was working alongside a bunch of other marine scientists to examine the marine fauna and flora of the region, with Dave completing a full taxonomic survey of the corals in the area. The report will be published by the West Australian Museum in 2007.

Atlantic Ocean Crossing
Dave is sailing across the Atlantic Ocean from the Canary Islands to the West Indies on a yacht with his mum and dad from late November 06 to early January 07. Charlie McKinney
Dave & Bebo would also love to send a big shout out to their beautiful baby boy Charlie, whose favourite music at the moment is 'Hot Potato Hot Potato' by the Wiggles. He has already perfected some complicated breakdancing moves including 'The Drool' and 'The Dribble' so expect some dancefloor mayhem at his first birthday.
